Hi everyone, I’m Relli!

 

Commercial loan underwriter by day, HiiTstructor at the best gym in Albany by night (and early morning). Ever since I was about 5, I was constantly moving. Karate, golf, horseback riding, tennis, softball, I was always involved in some type of sport. I played tennis and softball in school, then focused on my studies in college and didn’t play competitively. After college, I started to fall out of the routine of working out, but HiiT has allowed me to get back into shape and commit to staying fit!

 

  1. What song gets you pumped up?
    There are SO many songs I love to play while working out or training, but my favorite is "Where They From (WTF)" by Missy Elliott. That beat is enough to motivate just about anyone!
     

  2. What is it about HIWB and group fitness?
    No matter where you are in your fitness journey, everyone at HIWB is there for the same reason: to be the best version of themselves that they can be. Any class I’m a part of, whether it’s training or working out, is always inspiring! Our HiiTers are not only empowering themselves, but also empower everyone around them, including the HiiTstructors. Not many gyms can say that!
     

  3. If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
    A lion. They are strong, independent, good group/pack members, and protectors who are willing to fight for what they want.
     

  4. Post workout snack?
    Chocolate PB protein shake with almond or soy milk. It goes from shaken to gone in about 3.5 seconds.
     

  5. Perfect Sunday afternoon activity?
    Hanging out with friends and/or family either playing or watching some type of sport or game. There might be beverages involved, too.
     

  6. Most challenging exercise movement and why?
    Manmakers. It’s a love/hate relationship . Every major muscle group is challenged, but the feeling of accomplishment when you power through each rep is awesome.
     

  7. Best advice you ever received?
    No one can make you happy unless you make yourself happy first.
     

  8. Food you can’t live without?
    Cheese. It’s a life struggle because I’m lactose-intolerant, but absolutely worth toting around the Lactaid pills.
     

  9. Three words to describe you.
    Extroverted, adventurous, and organized.
     

  10. Morning or evening workout?
    Morning! I love starting my day off with a good workout sweat. It wakes me up and I’m ready to conquer the day.
     

  11. Favorite workout shoe?
    Nike Metcons.
     

  12. Your biggest accomplishment?
    Each time a new “big thing” in life happens, I find that to be my biggest accomplishment, because I continue to surprise myself. My boyfriend and I just bought a house, so I’m pretty sure that’s going to stay on top of my list for a while.
     

  13. Your mantra?
    Stay positive. I find myself sometimes focusing too much on the negatives in life, when there is so much I have to be happy about. I need to keep focusing on the positives.
     

  14. Celebrity crush?
    Ryan Gosling. And Ryan Reynolds. And Mark Wahlberg. Can I say all three?
     

  15. Favorite season and why?
    Fall, of course! The colors, the weather, the clothing, I love it all. But not PSL’s. (Does that exclude me from the ‘basic’ category?)
